The Greene House
Custom Timber Frame Home

The house built for Bill & Linda Green in 2006/2007 is a 2 story timber frame home with pointed prow front, built along the northwestern coast line of Seldovia Bay.

Key features of this custom home construction:

  • A prow on the northwest face of the building set above Seldovia Bay;
  • A pop-out office space on the northeast side of the building;
  • High ceilings in the main living area;
  • A custom stone & mortar facade on the crawl space on the road side of the building. Stones were hand-picked from a local river bed and set by Jim Hecks;
  • 12 x 14 sitka spruce timbers through the center of the building.
