Since 1986, Tim Dillon has designed and constructed numerous Log Homes and commercial buildings around Kachemak Bay, as well as others in Girdwood and Homer. All logs are local Sitka Spruce trees, often fallen on the same property that the home will be placed. The logs are then hand peeled and individually notched and numbered by the Dillon & Dillon crew. As logs are notched in the local lay-down yard, the building is assembled to ensure that each log is properly fit to surrounding logs. Like timber frame packages, log packages can be shipped anywhere in the state to on, or off road locations. Once on site, the log building is reassembled in less than a week. |
